Welcome to Seventh Avenue Elementary School

Seventh Avenue Elementary School is home to approximately 130 students in Kindergarten through Sixth grade.  The school is one of the three elementary schools of the Haddon Heights School District.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL, MR. ORMSBY:

It's hard to believe we will be into November already!   Time flies when you are having fun.  October was a great month for us here at the elementary schools.  We focused on RESPECT and had many activities for all of the students: PTG sponsored the "Bullysaurus" assembly, Mr. Baals organized a cyber bullying assembly, we had dress up days and also adopt-a-cop classroom visits.  All of this took place to ensure proper education of what RESPECT should look like.
The students have settled into their daily classroom routines.  The staff is implementing the Classworks program and the students' individual learning paths. We hope to see the benefits of this program in the next round of MAP assessments, which will take place in January, 2019.
Many new and exciting items are being brought into the classrooms. We would like to thank Mrs. Gravener for implementing a STEM Coding Program into her curriculum.  The students are learning to code robots to move in different directions, make noises, change colors, and more!. The students are engaged and thoroughly enjoying this new curriculum.
The Holidays are quickly approaching and the temperatures changing. Please make sure your children are dressed for the weather.  Our student council is finalizing plans for this November's SPIRIT WEEK (Nov. 14-20).  Bring on November!
